To be a christ-centered parish focused on positive transformation of society.
To co-ordinate parish resources and creating an enabling environment for the parish to accomplish the great comission for the wellbeing of society.
PCEA Kajiado parish started as a Mission Area under Olooseos Parish in 1970. Rev Samuel Pulei who was the Parish Minister then became the first Presbyterian missionary to come to Kajiado in the early 1970s. Many churches were planted by an evangelism ministry by name “PCEA MAASI” which had over 66 volunteer, evangelists and Ministers. Among the ministers were Rev. Kishoyian, Rev. Jonathan Lilah and Rev. Stephen Mparikoi.
Among the many churches started then were: P.C.E.A Nkiito, Empakasi, Oloyiankalani, Engirigiri, Oloolera, Esampukike alongside PCEA Churches in Loitoktok and Ewuaso Kendong.
Kajiado Nendeni Area was officially launched on 5th September 1993 and comprised Oloyankalani, Empakasi, Noonkopir, Esambukike, MTTI, Oloporoporana, Nkiito, Nandoterit, Kisaju, Engirrigiri, Oloorera, Naiboisho and Lenchani. It was during this event that Namanga Mission Area was curved out of the larger Kajiado Nendeni Area and Rev. Jonathan Lillah was posted to Kajiado Nendeni and Rev. Charles Maina posted to Namanga Nendeni area.
In 1998, Kajiado Nendeni Area was upgraded to Kajiado Outreach by the Head Office through Ngong Hills Presbytery. Times were hard for the young Outreach was devolved to Gatundu Presbytery but later returned back to Ngong Hills Presbytery. More churches were started at Isinya, Oltanki, Ekisukudo and Namelok.
In the year 2008, Kajiado Outreach lost the following churches to Presbyterian Outreach Mission Church (POMC): Oloyankalani, Nkiito, Nandoterit, Enkirgir, Oloorera, Naiboisho, Oltanki and Enkisukudo. This followed defection of Rev. Stephen Mparinkoi (who was then the moderator of Ngong Hills Presbytery) to POMC and convinced the said congregations to join him.
Kajiado Outreach was upgraded to a parish status and Kajiado Parish was inaugurated on 14th June 2014 which is a great milestone to achieve through God’s guidance. We have fond memories of all the Ministers, Elders and Evangelists who have served in the Parish and used by God in this Ministry. This far we have come the Lord has been so faithful and we pray that God continues to keep the fire burning in this Parish guided by His word.
